How to Pick the Right Tweezers?

Tweezers are lash artists number 1 tool essential in their arsenal in creating beautiful lash sets.  So how can a beginner lash artist find herself a perfect tweezer?

Having the right tools is crucial for doing great work. The wrong tweezers can not only cost you in delays in your work but can cause you to have short and long term pain.

As a beginner, I struggled so much to find the right tweezers when I was starting my journey in the lash industry. My tweezers were not functioning and I had no idea what’s happening. I couldn’t understand what were the important characteristics of a good tweezer. I eventually persisted and tried multiple brands, and eventually found the winning combination

Eventually, I decided to launch my own line of lash supplies, since I wanted to help other lash professionals who were struggling to find their own perfect tweezers.

Price

First of all, Lash artists, you must remember when you are on the hunt for lash tweezers: You will get what you pay for.

There are tweezers that are affordable, but please don’t go the cheap route. I promise you, there are affordable but of high-quality tweezers.

Do not sacrifice the quality of your daily lash tool for a low price. Quality is the most important thing to look for in extension tweezers.

Material

When looking for quality, I strongly recommend looking for Just search for medical-grade steel. Yes, it is that easy. Medical grade steel sterilizes, doesn’t rust, and is sturdy!

Be careful though, I have run into some professional companies that advertise their tweezers as medical-grade steel, yet they rusted! Totally not so good!

Your tweezers will be your BFF so better get it from a reputable company that you trust with the quality. I recommend looking for a company that offers refunds in case the tweezers are of poor quality and don’t function to your liking.

Many PRO lash artists are using different tweezers for different sets, and different parts of their job. For example, on the inner corners some lash artists only like to work with the short boot lash tweezer, meanwhile, while working on classic sets they will use an isolation tweezer and a curved dolphin tweezer.

Weight

Some of these lash tools are so heavy that your hands will literarily get so tired from using them. You don’t want that happening, do you?

When it is heavy, it would most likely cause fatigue and stress to your wrist. Imagine having to get hand fatigue five times a day or more. This would not be ideal if you are seeing multiple clients a day. This is why I strongly recommend a very light ergonomic design, trust me you will thank me.
