Lash Appointment Rules: Safety First At Work

Do and don'ts before the lash appointment? What to expect for your first eyelash appointment?

So, you're a lash artist. Congratulations! You're one of the most talented people in the industry—and you're passionate about your work. But did you know that safety is just as important to you as being your best? The secret to a great lash appointment is being safe.

You may not think of safety as the most exciting part of your job, but it's one of the most important—and it can make all the difference between an awesome experience and a really awful one.

As a lash artist, you have a responsibility to make sure that each one of your clients leaves your chair feeling beautiful and safe. How do we do this? By following these simple rules:

Lash Appointment Rules: New Appointment Policy

Lash artists are some of the most important people in the beauty industry. We provide our clients with a service that they can't get anywhere else, and they come back to us time and time again because we're so great at what we do. But even though we should feel like queens when it comes to our own work, it's not always easy for us to stay on top of everything—especially when you have multiple clients who all want their lashes done at different times!

That's where new appointment policies come in! If you're an experienced lash artist and don't think you'll have any problem remembering these rules, then keep reading! If not, then make sure you take good notes so that this doesn't happen again!

CALL UPON ARRIVAL, WAIT OUTSIDE THE SALON OR STUDIO UNTIL CALLED TO COME IN

First and foremost, call upon arrival! We don't want you to miss your appointment, so make sure you have your phone charged and on you at all times. If you're running late, give us a call and let us know. We'll do our best to accommodate any changes in schedule so that we can serve you as efficiently as possible.

FOLLOW A NO-MASK NO ENTRY POLICY

This means that if a client is sick, they can't go into the salon until after they are cleared up whatever illness has taken hold, and are able to wear a mask.

SANITIZE HANDS BY USING ALCOHOL OR WASHING HANDS

This will ensure that no germs are transferred from one client to the next and help prevent spreading diseases such as pink eye and flu season.

NO ADDITIONAL PERSON

As a lash artist, we do not want any distractions during your appointment, so only one person will be allowed in the room with you during your appointment.

HIGHLY ENCOURAGE THE CONTACTLESS PAYMENT

When booking an appointment, we highly encourage contactless payment as a lash artist. This is because it helps us keep track of our clients' payments more easily and ensures a faster turnaround time between appointments. We want to make sure that if you need to reschedule or cancel, we can do so quickly and easily—and we can only do that if we have an accurate record of your payment information.

MINIMAL TALKING

There are plenty of other opportunities to catch up with your friends over lunch or drinks after work—your lash appointment is not one of them! We understand how important it is to get together and chat, but when you’re in a lash artist’s chair and they are working on you, it’s best not to chat too much or distract them from what they’re doing (which takes years of practice).

RESCHEDULE WHEN FEELING SICK

If you feel ill or need to reschedule, please let us know ASAP so that we can accommodate other clients' schedules as well.

BRING YOUR OWN JACKET OR BLANKET IF YOU GET CHILLY

If you're getting chilly during your appointment—or even if you're not—we encourage you to bring a jacket or blanket with you. We want everyone to have the best experience possible!

CONCLUSION

We all know the rules, but we don't always follow them. So, recheck the lash appointment rules and see how your schedule is holding up. If you're not doing everything exactly right, it's time to develop a better system. Remember that you are your business, and how you run your business matters.

It’ll be challenging this kind of set up but we have to help each other to go through this ‘new normal’ routine. Please continue to practice social distancing, sanitation, and stay healthy!
