Emily Flores is a dedicated lash artist with 1 year and 5 months of experience, currently on her journey to becoming a licensed esthetician! She started practicing in August 2023 and began taking real clients by October 2023 after training with Lanna Lashes.

Her Journey & Overcoming Challenges

Like many beginners, Emily faced struggles with timing and sticky tweezers when she first started. Her lash sets took 5-6 hours, and she constantly dealt with glue and lashes sticking to her tweezers. But she didn’t let these obstacles stop her!

✨ How She Improved:

✅ Practiced outside of client appointments
✅ Took on more clients to gain speed and confidence
✅ Learned the perfect glue dip technique to keep tweezers clean
Now, she completes sets in 2-3 hours—a huge improvement from when she started!

What Motivates Her?

Emily is fueled by the support of her returning clients, family, and friends. Despite living a bit far from some of her clients, they continue to choose her, which speaks volumes about her skill and dedication! The kind words and encouragement she receives remind her why she started and push her to chase her dreams.

Advice for Future Lash Artists

"Just try it out, see how you like it, and consider how much you can grow in a year!"

Emily knows firsthand how tough the first year can be, but she encourages new lash artists to never give up. Even when she felt like quitting, she kept posting content—and suddenly, she was booked out for the first time.
