As this week's featured lash artist, I'm excited to introduce Jenny D. @jenniidlashes from Laurel, Maryland.

Jenny's lash journey began in Maryland back in 2019. When she started, she faced challenges like managing her time effectively and isolating lashes during application. To improve her timing, Jenny would set an hour-long timer to focus on completing work on one eye. For better isolation, she adopted the tape back method and found the right tweezers that worked for her.

Jenny's inspiration as a lash artist comes from within. She has always been passionate about keeping her natural lashes looking their best, especially when doing makeup. Struggling with strip lashes herself, she discovered lash extensions and realized many others shared her struggle. This revelation kickstarted her career in lash artistry. What motivates her most is the joy of making women feel beautiful and confident with a fresh full set of lashes, seeing their reactions, and knowing she played a part in that transformation.

Her advice to future lash artists, beginners, and those facing challenges is clear: never give up. Jenny recalls times when she felt disheartened by client complaints about the longevity or appearance of their lashes. Instead of giving up, she focused on improving her techniques and finding products that worked best for her. She emphasizes that not every day in the lash industry will be perfect, and dealing with unhappy clients is inevitable. The key is how you handle these situations and learn from them.
