Don't rush through this step! You must take your time and isolate each lash properly so that no one gets damaged or damaged lashes fall off during the process. #1 USE LASH TAPE
There are many ways to isolate lashes. One of the most popular techniques is to by using lash tape. If you haven't tried tape yet, we highly recommend it! It's a great way to isolate lashes, especially if you have a client with a dense lash line and lots of natural lashes.

#2 USE GEL PADS
You can use tape to isolate lashes, but using it can be a bit tricky. Gel pads are your best bet if you work with a sensitive client or want something softer than tape.

They're easy to put on and peel off without leaving any residue. They also allow for more movement than tape, so you can move around and modify it throughout the appointment.
Another option is to use a combination of both gel pads and tape. Applying a gel pad layer over the top of your tape will help prevent any accidental pulling or ripping out of lashes when removing the tape from your client's lids.

#3 USE YOUR FINGERS
Don't you hate it when trying to separate your client's lashes and accidentally touch the neighboring ones? Another option is to use your fingers instead of tweezers, which can be easier for some lash artists.

#4 USING LASH TWEEZERS
Isolating lashes can be tricky. Not only are there many moving lashes, but you also have to be able to see what you're doing. The best way to isolate lashes is with a pair of tweezers.
Most artists isolate without using their pick-up tweezers. However, it is much easier to maneuver and separate your client's tiny baby lashes when you use both tweezers.
