The hardest part of selecting a lash extension system is deciding which lash trays to buy. There are so many types and brands that can be confusing. However, this guide will help you find the best eyelash trays for your dollar.
CLASSIC LASH TRAYS
Classic lashes appear more natural and are applied in a one-to-one ratio, implying that just one natural lash is attached to one lash extension. It has a round base that sits exactly on top of the natural lash and is available in thicknesses ranging from 0.10 to 0.25 millimeters.

The most common length for classic lashes is 0.15 mm. We don't recommend using 0.25 because it's heavy and can harm your client's natural lashes.

FLAT LASH TRAYS
Instead of being rounded, flat lashes have a somewhat elliptical form. These lashes are ideal for clients who want a dramatic look but don't have enough natural lashes to support conventional extensions.
Some lash artists prefer using flat lashes because they are easier to apply, have longer retention, and are healthier than the client's natural lashes.

Flat lashes have a flat base on top. It's dome-shaped, with the same round top as the traditional classic. Still, the bottom flat has a tiny hole, so it may fit precisely on top of the natural lashes and practically lock in place after the glue is applied, almost hugging the natural lashes.
There is a split-tip on the flat part of the ellipse lashes (it's tiny, but because the split and the extension is flat, it takes some of the weight off and creates a soft tip)
This type of lash feels more volume. It makes a complex, crisp characteristic; however, flat lashes lack this feature and can be mistaken for volume lashes. Nonetheless, they are unquestionably softer and more comfortable.

Volume lash extensions create a natural look that adds volume and length and a dramatic and fuller look. The lashes range in thickness from 2D to 6D, and anything higher than a 4D will make your client look like she's wearing strip lashes, which is the opposite of the natural look that classic and hybrid extensions offer.

PREMADE FANS
Machine-made and ready for lash artists. Premade fans were put in a tray quickly picked up and used. Premade lashes are not the same as clustered lashes.
A premade fan is a base made up of two to eight lashes that have been glued or heat bonded together. The purpose of premade fans is to save time for lash artists by reducing the need to hand-make fans. You may like or dislike premade fans but bear in mind that the market, and thus you, is changing. Now is the time to think about your clients.

For successful bonding, the amount of lash adhesive used and the placement of the fans is essential. The fan can be attached to the natural lashes from the top or bottom. The bottom of the lash fan should be longer than the extension and should be dipped in glue for at least 2mm. You'll be able to assure accurate alignment this way.

PROMADE FANS
The lash artist creates Promade fans without any machinery (opposite of premade fans). During the lash appointment, promade lash fans are constructed and applied to the client's lashes in real-time. It is an excellent approach to practice as well, but the process of making lash fans takes time.
Pulling a few extensions off the strip, fanning them according to the lash artist's liking, dipping them in glue, and placing them on the client's natural lash gives in a solid bond.

If you use too much glue, the lash fan's base will be too thick and heavy for the client's natural lashes. Remember that when it's time to add the extension to the client's natural lashes, you'll need to dip the fan back into the glue. When you're making them, don't use a lot of glue. You need a small amount of adhesive to keep the fan together.

Ombre lashes often start with black at the base of the extension and fade into a different color at the tip to give a gradient of color. Because the eyelash extension has a regular black base, you can apply adhesive without compromising any colors. A complete set is ideal for adding color while maintaining a solid black base.
