WHAT IS A CRYSTALLIZED LASH FAN?

Crystallizing entails freezing your fans and preventing them from moving after being created. Crystallized fans maintain their curl and have the same lash retention as handmade volume fans.

I love creating my fan and then pinching my base to make it as small and pointed as possible.

HOW TO CRYSTALLIZE LASH FAN?

STEP #1

Pull your desired number of lashes into a fan and re-stick it further down the strip. Roll the lashes with the tip of your tweezers to create a lash fan.

STEP #2

Pick up the fan in the middle with a tight grip. It is an excellent way to pick up the fan without it collapsing. It's one of the most popular techniques, perfect for beginners.

Fan your lashes as wide as you can and lock them, so you don't lose that symmetry if you want your set to look a lot fluffier and darker.

You now have a promade or crystallized fan that won't close or collapse, which you can store in a box. You can use easy fans or regular volume lashes.

When you first start, making fans is quite tricky. With practice, it becomes much more manageable. Let me share with you some tips:

  • Get a tweezer you like to use; everyone has different tastes, so experiment with different styles and grips.
  • Don't try to learn all of the techniques at once; instead, pick one and focus on it until it's perfect.

If you are looking for help, find a mentor, enroll in a course, or learn from someone. Your learning curve will be less steep.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CRYSTALLIZING A LASH FAN?

There are a few reasons you might want to do it if you have a problem with lashes closing when you make your fans by hand or if the bases aren't thin enough for you.

One of the benefits of doing this is saving it for your clients. If you want to make some fans, this is a great way to do it if you don't want to buy premade fans or make pro-made to customize your client's lashes or the size you want your fans to be.

You want to make sure that the consistency of your fans is always good when you promade or crystallize them.

Some may wonder why to crystallize them when they're already bonded together at the base, but even easy fan lashes will close a little bit; therefore, we'll crystallize them to prevent this.

When crystallizing, don't use too much glue; you only need a small amount and lock that fan into place so it doesn't move or close because you'll re-dip them into your adhesive when you're lashing your client.

When you're practicing making fans and don't want to get rid of them, you can always label your little containers with what you're making and use them on your clients in their next appointment.

Also, if it takes you a long time to do a complete volume set, crystallizing will significantly cut down on that time because you created the fans already, but make sure your base is always flawless.

Always look for a tweezer that is consistent. When it comes to lashing, consistency is vital. It comes with time and effort, but choosing the appropriate tools will make your lash game a lot smoother.

Another advantage is that each set should be unique, so if you have a client for whom you'll be doing big fans, making your fans before the appointment will help you save time.

    CONCLUSION

Making lashes and perfecting your fans takes time and effort, so get your hands on some lashes and practice as much as you can, especially if you're new to lashing or new to volume. The more you practice, the better you'll get, so the only way to grow better at it is to keep practicing.
