Premade vs. Promade Volume Fans: Debunking the Misconceptions
When it comes to eyelash extensions, one of the key choices you'll face is whether to use premade or promade volume fans. These two options have sparked some confusion and misconceptions in the beauty industry.
In this post, we will clarify the differences between premade and promade volume fans and shed light on their manufacturing processes.

First and foremost, it's crucial to understand that both premade and promade volume fans are manufactured using the SAME techniques. Despite popular belief, premade fans are not entirely machine-made, while promade fans are not purely handmade. In fact, both types of fans are crafted by hand, employing specialized tools and meticulous techniques. The primary role of machinery in the process is curling the lashes using an oven.
While there may be variations in how premade and promade fans are packaged and presented, it's important to recognize that the manufacturing techniques behind them are identical. Whether you're using premade or promade fans, lash professionals or manufacturers carefully handcraft each fan to achieve a fanned-out appearance with precise separation and uniformity.
If you happen to purchase premade or promade fans from a lash brand that features pinch slim bases, it's a clear indication of the latest generation of manufacturing techniques. This development showcases the industry's ongoing efforts to refine and enhance the quality of both premade and promade volume fans.

WHAT ARE PROMADE LASH FANS?
Promade lashes are fans made by the lash artist. Some lash artists are making this prior to their client's appointments. They are not perfectly identical to the premade fans since each fan will be unique. Additionally, the bases of these lash fans are generally really sharp and pointy, allowing for a really clean look, and amazing lash retention.

It all depends on the strategy of the lash artist, and which one will be convenient for her.

HOW TO USE LOOSE PROMADE FANS?
- Use a silicone pad. Place a bunch of loose fans on top of the silicone.
- Separate the fans with your tweezers and position them in a line. To cut down on application times, do this as you go through the appointment or prepare them ahead of time.
- Dispense a small amount of adhesive onto the palette.
- Separate the natural lashes from the rest of the lashes. Using the glue, dip the fan about 1mm.
- Repeat the process with applying the fan on natural lashes. In no time, you'll be able to create stunning volume sets!

IS IT OKAY TO USE PROMADE FANS?
YES, in my opinion, when you are still starting and mastering the skills of creating your lash fans, this would be a good alternative. Promade fans will save you time, especially for the beginner lash artist, and allow them to offer the clients a little more luxurious look, like a hybrid, volume, and mega volume.
Organized Pro-made Fans, Optite Low Humidity Adhesive, Super Bonder and Lash Wisps are used in this set. To shop, please click here.
Promade fans are just like regular lashes. They should be applied correctly so they will not harm your client's natural lashes. The same rules of the fan's diameter and weight application should be considered to safely lash your client's lashes.
You were practicing how to make your volume set will be costly, especially when you are still starting this journey. Remember, at this point of your career, when you want to get as many clients as possible, then promade is an excellent solution since they offer lash artists a variety of sets they can offer their clients and improve the speed of the appointment.

However, it can take from 2 months to 6 months to learn this skill set, and lash clients are unwilling to wait for their lash artist to know to do volume lashes. They want them when they want them.

WHAT ARE PREMADE LASH FANS?
Premade fans eyelash extensions are fans that are ready for you to use. They were placed on a lash tray and ready for you to pick up and attach to your client's natural lashes. As you would attach a classic lash, you would connect a premade fan.
These fans are from 2 to 10 lashes glued or heat bonded. The purpose of premade fans is for the lash artist to decrease lashing time and cater to more clients by reducing application time.
Some lash artists feel guilty about using premade fans, worrying that it makes them less of a lash artist. However, we tell you that premade fans have been invented to bridge the gap for beginner lash artists to offer more voluminous techniques to their clients without necessarily having learned the skill of hand-making volume fans.
When using premade fans, make sure your clients get consistent lash fans that are perfectly made. However, the downside would be that they'll be less of a chance of customizing the styles for your client's lashes.

Premade fans are attached to natural lashes, just like classic lashes. They are applied to each lash of your clients. If correctly done, they look fantastic, and it's indistinguishable from regular handmade fans.
Premade fans should feel lightweight, and your client's natural lashes should remain healthy.
