In this blog, let me give you some lash tips and tricks on making it easier to work with the corners and how to lash tricky lashes.

It's essential to ensure that the inner corners are completed and look nice and polished.

I used to overlook the inner corners when I started as a lash artist since I didn't know how to work with them. They were pretty intimidating to me.

4 PRO LASH TIPS FOR LASHING INNER CORNERS

LASH TIP #1 USE A CURVED TWEEZER

A dolphin tweezer works well (C-type tweezer or a 45-degree angle tweezer) because it will be much easier to angle that tweezer and get into those inner corners.

REMINDER

The sweet spot for your tweezer is from the tip of your tweezer's nose to the middle. ( all tweezers vary slightly in terms of their sweet spot, it's essential to test it out and determine the exact place on YOUR tweezer that will pick up your fan.

Make sure to avoid holding your tweezers too high since it will not allow you to control the strength of the grip, and you will need to press too hard to achieve a good grip, leading to hand fatigue.

Hold your tweezer in the middle with three fingers, the thumb on one side and the index and middle finger on the other side.

It seems like a small detail, but if you get these details wrong, you will struggle with making your lash fans greatly.

LASH TIP #2 USE SHORT LASHES

Make sure that you’re using short lashesInner corners will typically be 3mm to 5mm (client natural lashes). You shouldn't place heavy lashes in the inner corners because you don't want to overload those lashes; they're usually weaker and fragile. I recommend you use 5mm to 7mm for the inner corners.

LASH TIP #3 USE FLATTER LASH CURLS FOR THE INNER CORNER

Don't use D curl, L curl, M curl, or any of those extreme curls for inner corners because it will end up poking the client and give them an uncomfortable feeling.

You want to make the sets look as seamless and natural as possible. So what you want to do is to ensure you use a curl that is pretty flat and soft. B curl works well for inner corners.

LASH TIP #4 USE A LASH TAPING TECHNIQUE

The taping technique is really good to visualize the inner corner. It’s going to be easier to isolate and also you're going to be able to see what you're doing.

LASH EXTENSIONS OUTER CORNERS

LASH TIP #1

The lashes on the outer eye tend to stick, so I recommend allowing extensions to dry isolated longer to avoid unwanted sticking.

Hydro-gel Under Eye Patches, Breathable Tape, Ultra Crystal Bond, Lashes and Lash Wisps are used in this set. To shop, please click here.

LASH TIP #2

Because the natural lashes on the outer eye are thinner and shorter, use a lighter lash fan or lash to help with lash retention.

LASH TIP #3

I recommend you use narrow lash fans instead of wide for the outer part of the client's lashes. A few lashes will look out of place if the fans are too broad.

Handmade lash fans
