Things are evolving so as the way we manages our businesses. Gone are the days when we print out tons of flyers, spent so much time to give out to people who will eventually throw it out and that's additional trash on earth.
We are living on a digital era wherein you can run your business just using your mobile gadgets such as your laptop, tablets, and mobile phones.
With these on hand, it became easier to market your business online. There are a lot of useful social media platforms that are free to register and if utilize properly it will surely be profitable.
I have started to to use Instagram and later on evolve to more social media sites around.
Instagram is a photo and video-sharing application to connect with people. I love how it works and you can advertise your work.
You can post your work, add relevant hashtags, location and call to action captions. Make sure that your photos and videos are not blurry and really captured the images well.
You get to add people with the same interest as yours and connect with them through sharing their postings, commenting and just simply following their accounts.
I love their IGtv wherein you can post videos longer than 1 minute and people find it interesting to watch videos as well. It adds up to your engagement which affects the algorithm of your account.
Their IG stories are so enticing to use, you can make use to promote products and you can directly drive them to your website thru swipe ups.
I would surely recommend this application as I found it very useful especially to our lash extension supply business, even got so much clients to have an appointment with us.
Sharing with you the best apps that I use to grow my Instagram account:
VSCO - great for photo editing
VSCO, formerly known as VSCO Cam, is a photography mobile app for iOS and Android devices. The app was created by Joel Flory and Greg Lutze. The VSCO app allows users to capture photos in the app and edit them, using preset filters and editing tools.
Social Blade - great for tracking growth and analytics
Social Blade is an American website that tracks social media statistics and analytics. Social Blade most notably tracks the YouTube platform, but also has analytical information regarding Twitch, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Mixer, Dailymotion, DLive, TikTok, and StoryFire.

Later - great for scheduling Instagram posts
The leading visual marketing platform that allows you to plan, schedule, publish, and measure the results of your instagram and social media posts.
Preview - great for designing Instagram feeds
Same as Instagram, you can also share images and videos on Facebook, you can actually more on Facebook, like share your blog postings, Youtube links if you happen to have Youtube channel, you can join Facebook groups and grow your business here by collaborating with other people.
Facebook has its own scheduler that you can use to schedule all your postings. I found it very helpful to use this app since you can immediately post links of your products and services that you can eventually drive them to your website.
My favorite is the Facebook Support Group that we started, as of this writing we have 6, 000 lash members all over the world. They are amazing that they get to post their works, products and services and even ask questions to our fellow lash artists.
They also have their Facebook story same as the IG Stories, I think most people are into Facebook and knowledgeable in using the app and promoting their lash work, products and services.
An easy to use application for all and if use on its maximum potential, you can really get possible clients.
Pinterest is an American image sharing and social media service designed to enable saving and discovery of information on the World Wide Web using images and, on a smaller scale, animated GIFs and videos, in the form of pinboards.
I love how interactive it is and you get to collaborate with other people. Save their work on your time line and it will help you with your engagement.
Make sure you are consistent in pinning fresh pins every single day. Pinterest wants fresh information as often as possible.
It's a platform to share your creativity and works well with tutorials, recipes, DIY projects, demo and alike.
If you happen to have a shop, you can connect it to your Pinterest to draw traffic to your website.
Another powerful app that you can use on your advantage. Make use of this platform to show how you do your session.
This will entice your prospective clients. Who would not love YouTube as more and more people are into video watching.
Who else are not on Tiktok, another popular app that you can dig in. Video sharing and getting you updated on the latest trend on social media.
In this digital world that we live in, social media is a powerful platform to market your business.
Make sure to stand out on promoting your lash service using your social media platforms.
I will share you some tips on how that we found it very useful and effective.
1. Post before and after photos
We wanted to showcase the transformation of our lash work and followers get inspired seeing pictures like that.
2. Posting of Live Videos while doing the session
This excites the people and they can see the step by step procedure on how applying eyelash extension works.
3. High quality pictures and videos 📹

SOCIAL MEDIA PHOTO TAKING TIPS
1. Make the photo and eyelash extension application visually appealing. Proper angle and make sure to focus on the product which is to showcase the beautiful lash work.
2. Good lighting makes a difference. How you light your image will make every difference to the final product. We’d highly recommend a ring light. Make sure to take the photos that are not against the light.
3. Be sure to make the eyelash extensions the focus in your picture.
4. Editing your photo before posting can help enhance the beautiful elements and tweak any imperfections. This is perfectly normal. Just make sure, it’ll not be over-editing.
5. Post different types of lash look showcasing your ability to customize designs for each client.

6. Choose your social media platform
There's tons of them, focus on 1 or 2 that will works for you. Sometimes IG won't work for you, sometimes Facebook will give you a good number of clients. It's a trial and error.
