What Is The Secret To Natural Looking Lash Extensions

Eyelash extensions have become more and more popular in the past few years especially natural looking lash extensions. It is a trend that has taken off, with many women looking for an easy way to get longer, thicker eyelashes without having to use mascara every day.

Regardless of how long you've been lashing or how new you are to the industry, it is essential to understand how to apply them correctly to look natural and beautiful.

It is also essential to understand that lash extensions are not just about putting on lashes. They ensure they look natural and blend with your client's existing lashes.

There are a few ways you can ensure that your clients are happy with their looks. Let's get started!

UNDERSTAND YOUR CLIENT'S EYE SHAPE

When applying lash extensions, the shape of your client's eye is the first thing you need to understand. Eyelash extensions do not always fit every eye shape perfectly. You need to know how to make them work for each client. This means there is no "one size fits all" approach regarding lashes.

How to Determine Eye Shape

Each client has unique characteristics, so it's essential to understand what makes up your client's eye shape. You can find out by looking at their eyes or asking about their eye shape. You can also learn about it here.

TIP: For volume set, to get the most out of a natural look, keep your lash fans smaller (less than 4-5 lashes per fan). For a classic set, you can use C curl (or, depending on your client's natural lashes)

PROPERLY DETERMINE THE LASH CURL TO MATCH YOUR CLIENTS NATURAL LASHES

You want the natural lash set to look as good as possible, so picking the right curl is essential! This is because it will not look natural if you don't match the extension to their lashes! After all, the lashes are supposed to mimic theirs!

A natural look cannot be achieved with D and C curls. Only if you want to elevate or emphasize your client's lashes are both lash curls ideal.

A more natural lash look can be achieved by starting with a B curl. The lash extensions may look unnatural if they are curlier than the natural lashes.

GET THE RIGHT LENGTH AND DIAMETER

You've probably noticed that the length and thickness of the lashes can make a huge difference in the overall look. One secret to natural looking lash extensions is measuring the length and thickness of the client's lashes.

 Brown color lashes

Color Lashes, Ultra Crystal Clear Bond, Incredible Retention Primer and Super Bonder are used in this set. To shop, please click here.

Keep the length as is! Use a minimum lash length of .15 mm for clients who prefer a natural lash look. Depending on the client's natural lashes opt for extensions that are .12mm or shorter in length, depending on the client's natural lashes. The right length and thickness are also crucial to creating natural-looking lashes. They will look unnatural and fake if they are too long or thick.

If at all possible, use a natural diameter. The diameter of the extension should match the diameter of the client's natural lashes. The lashes aren't very thick in their normal state. The diameter of thick lashes on your clients is only about.15 mm. Use only .18 mm and .20 mm and nothing wider.

TIP: Choose lash extensions that are the same color as your client's natural lashes if you want to achieve a natural looking set. You can also use brown lashes.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE

Practice makes perfect. We all know this. However, what does it mean in this instance? It means you must learn to apply lashes to get good at them. It will take time, but if you keep practicing, you'll become better at it, and your clients will love their new look!

It's not something you can master in one sitting or even overnight. But with enough practice and patience, you can easily create beautiful, natural looking lashes.

When applying lash extensions, there's no need to rush things. Take your time and make sure that everything is done correctly. Your client will appreciate the extra effort, which will benefit both of you in the long run!

If you are still new to this, it is best to practice on a mannequin head first before doing it on others or an actual client.
