What are M curl lashes? How do you use M curl? I often get questions from clients on which lash curl they should pick. Usually, I choose the lash curl based on the lash style they want to achieve and their eye shape.
The exciting aspect of this M curl lash extension is its lengthy base, which ensures longer retention due to the more significant contact point with the natural lash and gives your clients the fantastic and dramatic cat-eye effect. Please remember that the M curl lashes keep their curl between fills, so there's no need to worry about that.
So the M curl is part of the strong curls that have taken the lash industry by storm lately.

What is M Curl?
The M curl lashes have an extended base similar to the other lash curls we spoke about. However, unlike the other members of its tribe, the M curve doesn't have a sharp bend. It has a smoother transition and an overall smoother finish. It makes this curl the perfect curl to start with for beginners who have never worked with these new and exotic curls. The lifting effect will still be dramatic since it is a little less sharp.
It will not be such a big transition for both the lash artist and the client. Once the client requests something sharper with an ever more substantial bend and lift, the lash artist can direct the client towards the L curl.
TIP: Retention is much better with L, L +, and M curls due to the higher surface contact area between the NL and extension.
LET'S TALK ABOUT STYLING
Now, if your client has downturned eyes and you are looking to provide a visual lifting with the help of the M curl, you will be able to achieve this very quickly with this curl.

RECOMMENDED LASH EXTENSION: CAT EYES
The sharp curve of the M curl allows the lash artist to manipulate the shape of the client's eye aggressively. We are talking about achieving a considerable change by aggressive, which is always really exciting for the client.
The M curl lashes can easily hide hanging eyelids or lift "sad eyes"/ downturned eyes in the outer corner.

How do you use M curl?
Do not be intimidated by this new kid on the block. It is a reasonably easy curl to work with. It is not recommended for beginners who have not yet mastered lash fanning but for intermediate lash artists looking to add some flair to their work.
With your fanning method of choice, you need to fan the M curl lashes the same way you would a C or D curl. Keep in mind that this M curl pairs very well with CC curls and C curls. You can choose to put CC curls in the inner corners for a softer, more subtle look. You can also decide to use M curl throughout the entire set, including in the inner corners.
