Being a lash artist is the best decision that I made in my life. Venturing into this kind of industry has been rewarding yet challenging that it brings out the best and worst about me.
Yes, it's profitable as long as you work so hard to build your clientele and at the same time improve yourself as a lash artist and improve your skills too.
How much do a lash artist make? As to how much per day or per month, and it will all depends on how eager you want to earn more.
Before we can actually discussed here the money-side of this blog, let us shortly talked about how to become a lash artist.
You can check out your area as to where you can have your trainings to get certified as a lash artist which is very much important for you to perform eyelash extensions.
There are so many things that you needed to learn, yes, you can watch videos online but a hands-on training will be a different kind of trainings that will further enhance the kind of skills that you already have or no experience at all.
Once you get certified, then the next step would be sourcing for your lash products that is very essential when you will perform your job. This will be a bit time and money-consuming because you have trial-and-error on this part.
Are you going to work on a salon or have your own shop or maybe since it's pandemic, you can consider working from home. It all depends on your current situation financially.
Just a heads up, you will not earn so much as you are expecting when you are just starting your career, because as you may know you need to invest on the products that you will be needing, your location and other stuff.
How much do lash artists make?
Let us make a computation for you to oversee the possible earnings that you will be getting.
For classic, I started charging ranging from 50-80$ when I am starting. Some of you might think that is way too low, yes, you may be right, however, for me during the time my goal is to practice as much as I can.
Even after getting certified, I keep practicing but I didn't charge any, I called for models, or my family members, my BFFs who are willing to be my practice client and I did everything for me. I didn't earn so much but I learn so much from those who trusted me.
Let say, 80$/full set
80$/set x 4 clients/8 hr. = 320$/day
320$/day x 5 days a week = 1, 600$/5 days of work
1, 600$/week x 4 weeks in a month = 6, 400$/month
6, 400$ x 12 months = 76, 800$/year
That is only for a classic set, you can get higher for different lash set that you will be offering to your clients.
This pricing is for my beginner's rate. And I keep increasing as I eventually get to know more of the industry that I am in.
Let us say, you’re already a PRO and charging 130$ for classic, let see the computation below:
130$/set x 6 clients/8 hr. = 780$/day
780$/day x 5 days a week = 3, 900$/5 days of work
3, 900$/week x 4 weeks in a month = 15, 600$/month
15, 600$ x 12 months = 187, 200$/year
What do you think about this computation? Do you think this is surely a profitable career? As I have mentioned earlier, earnings will depends on how fast you can work on and how many clients can you actually accommodate per day.
How to put price on your service?
As a lash artist, you might not know how to put price on your lash services. You can do competitors research, check your local lash artist as to how much they are charging, it's best to check how the local market are doing their prices. With this, you will not charging so high or low.
If your area have the clients who pays more and give tips, of course by all means go charge higher, but then if it’s the other way around, then make necessary adjustment on your pricing.

Who believes here that every businesses now are going digital. Social media works so well with businesses but you just have to know how to do it well.
There are so many ways on how to really reach out to your ideal clients. You can easily each out to the women on your local area. From there, you can directly talk to them, market your services and right there and then, you can actually book clients right.
It’s a matter of right contents to post online and the kind of customer service that you are offering.
PRO TIPS: When you make pricing on your lash service, make sure it’s reasonable. Whatever they pay for the service, provide them what they paid for. Remember they will also be part of your marketing strategy, if they likes your work, they spread it to everyone that they do and will surely recommend you to their friends.
